Exactly, I use organic fertilizer. As already mentioned, the combination is usually no problem and definitely doable.

In my experience, the high potassium level in the nutrient solution is more likely to cause issues for me. If the plant doesn’t play along, I’ve often had problems with Calmag.

So we’ll see, sometimes less is more.

Today’s look into the cabinet, the lady has taken another proper spurt. In order not to break my resolution and pick up the scissors, I tried to bring a little order into the thicket today.
The large fan leaves were tucked under the shoots to provide the best possible space for the buds.

Once the stretch is over, a few leaves will come off though.
Curious to see how high it will go. The width space is already being nicely utilized.

Watered yesterday, this time it got 2.5 L of nutrient solution. The plant is drinking a lot of water.

Beautiful healthy development

Currently, daily checking and adjusting of the readings and parameters is a must. The stretch is still progressing well, and I find that thanks to the leaf tucking over the last few days, the lower shoots are now coming nicely into the light too.
On the other hand, the lower foliage is getting denser and denser. It’ll soon be time for the scissors, hope the stretch is over soon.

Otherwise, 2.5L of nutrient solution was watered again yesterday.

Actually, I thought the stretch was slowly slowing down and growth was tapering off. But from yesterday after watering to today, she made another nice spurt. She’s now just under 70 cm.
Let’s see how this goes, hopefully I won’t go over the allowed 50g.

Yesterday another 2.5 L of nutrient solution was watered. Grow fertilizer was reduced a bit, while Bloom was increased slightly in return.

Yeah, the stretch was really strong. She was 17 cm almost three weeks ago when the first stigmas appeared. Basically quadrupled.

There’s still 30 cm left to the carbon filter. Hopefully that will still be enough.

Took the scissors to them today, couldn’t look at the dense jungle any longer.

Then some light LST with plant velcro tape. Simply to spread out the shoots better for an even light distribution.

They were also watered in the meantime. Increased Calmag a little bit, Grow and Bloom stayed the same. Plus gave them another splash of EM.

The 24K survived the haircut well and keeps happily pushing along. She is still literally praying to the light.
I’m confident it will continue like this.

Growth has plateaued at 72 cm. She is starting to put her energy into the buds now, getting hairier and hairier.

At the top you can see slight signs of too much light, a mild lightening of the uppermost leaves. I adjusted and dimmed the lamp a bit. Waiting a few days, hopefully that should take care of it.

Otherwise, watered again. Bloom was bumped up slightly again, Grow left as is, Calmag slightly increased, and there’s a little bit of Green Sensation. But only a fraction of the feeding chart.

Excited to see how she continues to develop.

I’m almost running out of space in my cabinet. I’ll have to figure something out, I actually wanted to put a photo in living soil in the cabinet next. Won’t work out without training, I guess.

Definitely a challenge to keep a beast in check in such a small space

Another small update with current pictures. The buds continue to develop and it’s slowly getting tight in the cabinet.
Except for a few light leaves at the top from too much light, everything looks pretty good so far I think. I’m currently running the lamp at around 80 watts. Any more and she starts to rebel.

Now it’s time to wait and see what the next few weeks bring.

I wouldn’t have thought when I built it that the first run would become such a bush.

I’m considering defoliating once more from BT 40.

The 24K is still forming new calyxes and pushing out nice, white stigmas. She could slowly enter the bulking phase and start fattening up those buds. Otherwise, this is going to go into extra time with her. We’ll definitely have to hold out for another four weeks.

Overall, she’s doing everything well and I have nothing to complain about so far.

Gave another 2.5 liters of nutrient solution. Grow fertilizer is being left out by now. Bloom was raised again, Calmag and EM as usual.

I pulled the light up a bit higher and adjusted DLI and PPFD accordingly.

Trichomes are coming in more and more. The smell is developing too; when you open the cabinet, a lovely fragrance greets you. Right now it smells very earthy with a slightly sweet note. I hope the fruity tangerine and citrus notes come out more at some point.
