Hey.

I’m trying to figure out but the opinions on the internet are very broad.

Do you guys cutoff the big fan leaves during autos flowering or is it better not to touch them when flowering already?

It’s my first grow so I’m learning the curve, also same seeds same everything growing totaly differently.
1x blueberry and 1x white widow stopped growing at 40cm and started flowering way before there sisters who are now 60cm ( no idea why nothing changed )

I know it’s not like you pros and very small but for first grow what do you think?

If autoflowering plants are flowering, don’t take anything away from them so they don’t get too stressed. Here is an article about it. good smoke

Pruning Autoflowering

If you are interested in the world of growing Maijuana , whether you are an expert or a novice grower, you will have heard of pruning marijuana plants to increase their development and production. Now, when it comes to Pruning Autoflowering plants we have little time to decide, since in just 3 weeks from when we planted them, they begin to flower.

Should Autoflowering be pruned?

What factors can help us make the decision?

What to take into account when Pruning Autoflowering?

Before Pruning Autoflowering Exterior or Interior we must take into account various factors in our Auto plants:

  1. The plants must be in the growth phase, during the first 3 weeks. We should never Prune Autoflowering Plants in Flowering , since in this phase the plants invest all their energy in flowering, if they have to recover from pruning, they will stop flowering.
  2. They must be in excellent health, otherwise they will never recover, not even from Pruning Autoflowering Leaves , even if they are few.
  3. You have to pay attention to whether they are growing vigorously, if they are growing fast, because if they do not have enough strength and it is difficult for them to grow, we will only be able to slow down their development even more.

Once we check and take these factors into account, we can ask ourselves the question, whether or not to prune Autoflowering Plants ?

Should Autoflowerings be Pruned?

At this point it is necessary to consider if pruning is going to be beneficial to increase the production of the Autoflowering Marijuana plant .

First of all, we must know the Autoflowering Seeds that we are growing. If it is indica varieties it is better not to prune. Indica plants do not reach much size and tend to branch, therefore a pruning would only make the plant stay even lower and considering that auto indicas only reach about 8 knots, it is not worth it.

If it is an Auto Sativa, it can admit some pruning. Although we do not recommend it. These varieties grow very large, can reach 1.5 m in height and have a cypress-like development. Pruning Saitvas Indoor or Outdoor Autoflowers can help the plant branch more and form buds on the branches. And, since Sativa grows taller, they will reach a good height anyway.

We do not recommend pruning Autoflowering plants , given their short growth and flowering period, they have very little time to recover from pruning. Or, if it doesn’t recover, reorganize its hormones so that the plant continues to grow by branching. Since they don’t reach much height, like Cheap Feminized Seeds , and once they start to flower they don’t develop anymore, we will be shortening their growth time.

Although if you want to try, you can perform a topping on an Autoflowering Sativa variety of your crop and observe how the plant develops and if it produces more production than the others. After all, by taking risks, we broaden our experience. And, your own experience is the best weapon for a good production in a Marijuana crop .

How to Prune Autoflowering?

From Eurogrow we consider that there are two important factors for pruning Marijuana Seeds, one is the Lack of Light and the other is the Increase in Production.

Do you want to know what solutions you can apply if your plants have light problems?

In case the light does not penetrate all the recesses of the plants well, we have two options:

  1. Pruning Autoflowering Leaves
  2. Double Autoflowering Plants

Below we detail each one so you can decide which one to carry out.

Pruning Autoflowering Leaves

In the event that the plant develops large leaves and the light does not penetrate the branches below, we can Prune Autoflowering Large Leaves , but only those that are causing a lot of light loss, and preferably a couple per inter-node, at most. . Since the large leaves of the plants provide food and energy, if we cut many leaves we will be causing deficiencies in the plant and we can weaken its development and reduce production.

For the Pruning of Autoflowering Leaves we must have clean hands and use previously disinfected scissors or cutter, otherwise we could cause infections in the plant and make it sick. We could Prune Autoflowering Leaves in Flowering while they are few and they are already dry, if not better we save it.

Pruning Autoflowering Leaves

Double Autoflowering Plants

By bending the branches of the plants , what is achieved is that the light passes through the areas covered by the leaves and that specific branch. Also, if we bend the branch well, until it sounds crack but without breaking, which is what this technique is about, we slow down the growth of that particular part of the plant to control excessive growth. While that branch recovers, the other branches that were more stagnant will develop further.

Double Autoflowering Plants

We must be careful, and not cut or split the branch. The branch should stay together, just bent. In this way the Autoflowering plant will heal the fold with a knot.

If we don’t want to risk it, we can separate the branches that do not let light in and attach them to stakes . Actually this is the best option, we end the light problem without sacrificing any branches.

Tutor Marijuana

Do you want to know how to get more production?

If we want to get more production we can try one of these two pruning techniques:

  • Autoflowering Topping

Although we have recommended not pruning autoflowering plants, if we have Sativa plants such as Moby Dick XXL Auto, Auto Amnesia by Dinafem or Jack Diesel Express Auto by Positronics, among others, that reach quite a height, we can try Autoflowering Top Pruning with a strain and check the results. You can take a look at Cheap XXL Autoflowering Seeds which are the biggest autos. Never apply this pruning to short-statured Indica Autoflowerings.

First of all we must carry out this pruning during the growth of the plant, in the cars during the first 3 weeks. Secondly, the plant must have at least 3 knots so that it can withstand the stress caused by pruning and recover.

We must make a simple and clean cut flush with the main branch that sprouts from the third node. The other 2 or 3 twigs with their pairs of leaves intact should remain around the branch that we have cut. After the cut it is convenient to apply a pruning healing paste to seal the cut well and for the plant to heal as soon as possible, in addition to avoiding infections.

Autoflowering Topping

To carry out this pruning well, we must have fine-tipped straight dissection scissors , preferably, and, in addition, disinfect them well to avoid possible infections in the plant.

With Autoflowering Topping , what we achieve is that the main branch develops in the form of a " Greek Y ", and in this way the two branches will fight to become the central branch and develop to the maximum, thus achieving two central batons and doubling the production of that section of the plant .

  • Pruning Lollipop in Autoflowering

This type of pruning is recommended for plants that grow like Cypress, that is, they develop a large central club, such as Afghan Skunk Auto from Advanced, Afghan Express Auto and Northern Haze Express from Positronics, for example. It is also advisable when we have a crop of many plants per m2. They will all grow upwards, with a single bud in the center and will not have light problems.

Lollipop Autoflowering Pruning

The ideal would be to do it at the beginning of flowering, but since we are going to do it on auto plants, we will do it around the third week of growth. So that they have time to recover, although this pruning is not as aggressive as the previous one.

We will need a well disinfected scalpel or scalpel and we will proceed to Prune the Autoflowering lower branches so that the plant can channel all its energy into the main branch. In this way, pruning Autoflowering basses will give more vigor to the central bud. We must remember to stake the branches so that the plant supports the weight of the huge bud.

Prune Low branches Autoflowering

Conclution

We do not recommend pruning autoflowering plants, but we always say that trying is not too much, with this information you will surely have learned something.

We hope we have resolved some doubts about Pruning Autoflowering Plants and that you can apply some ideas to your Marijuana Grow . And, as always… Good Smoke!!

Ive heard lollipopping is the only thing you should really train with autos.

Topping can be risky because they can flower at literally any time…

You should also keep any fan leaves that arent creating any dense shade - the plants feed off of your leaves for water reserve and photosynthesis.

Well, growing with Led indoors at 21/3, I assure you that autoflowering plants can be topped or LST or lollipoped to the auto, which will turn out well anyway, of course if you know how to do it and the tricks to achieve it in an Auto, such as using Booster Soil Atami’s B’cuzz can and does help you do it. good smoke.

B’Cuzz Soil Booster is an additive or complement that will help our plants to enter the flowering stage in the best way, specifically for cultivation in soil or a mixture of peats.

Few growers who use this Atami range use it because they are unaware of the properties and importance of applying Soil Booster to the crop.

Improve the development of your flowering plants with Soil Booster.

This B’cuzz flowering supplement helps to cover the deficiencies that the plant may have had during the vegetative stage, giving extra energy through micronutrients and stimulating substrate microorganisms and bacteria , thus increasing its strength to face the stage at full capacity. of flowering.

Thanks to the stimulation of the micro flora of the substrate, Soil Booster helps root development at this stage of the crop, getting the plant to absorb more water and more nutrients in a better way. It also gives a little touch of attention to the plant so that it stops growth and starts flowering.

In this section you will find the two most used containers:

Soil Booster 1L

Soil Booster 5L

All the factors that we have mentioned will help the final production to increase and the plants to remain healthier until the end of the harvest. In addition, Soil Booster is very concentrated, so the application doses are very, very low.

How to use B’cuzz’s Soil Booster

We will apply from 0.1 to 0.5ml for each liter of irrigation water, during the first three weeks of flowering.

Composition of Soil Booster

Nitrogen (N): 15%

Phosphorus (P): 0.35%

Potassium (K): 0.31%

Calcium (Ca): 0.70%
