Good evening all growers,

I recently had severe CalMag deficiency damage that I couldn’t get under control at first. I only had CalMag as a secondary ingredient in other fertilizers, but none specifically formulated for it.
After I finally got the deficiency under control, I decided to remove all damaged leaves after a short recovery phase for the plant. I’ve never had this problem to this extent before, and I’m hoping that the new little shoots will still turn into something, as I’m just about to start flowering.

What do you think, will it still turn out okay?
I left a few damaged leaves on because I think they might still provide some support. Yes, I don’t just show success here, but also the other side :face_with_peeking_eye:

And, I discovered a vegan, nitrogen-free CalMag. I didn’t know about it before and hope it does what it promises :folded_hands:t3:
From Atami VGN CalMag

I’m currently working night shifts, so I’m more active here at night than during the day .

I’m looking forward to any feedback and/or suggestions :oncoming_fist:t3:

Yours, SmartPlants

Update on my problem lady Pineapple :pineapple: Kush

She has visibly recovered from the deficiency damage and the massive defoliation of the damaged leaves. As I said, I left a few on.

Question. Should I remove all damaged leaves?

And another update on the worry lady Pine.
I’ve sent her into flower with the other 3 ladies now. I think she has recovered amazingly well. I wanted to wait 25 days now and then cut off the remaining damaged leaves.

I’m still shocked by the damage. I treated all 4 plants the same and only this one got the CalMag damage.

Every plant is different, whether in terms of growth, appearance, or its needs. Even with the same strains, there are always finicky ones that behave completely differently. I leave damaged leaves on as long as they are still suitable for photosynthesis; even if it only helps a little, it helps the plant.

If I’m being completely honest, I’ve brought uglier plants to harvest , it’ll turn out fine.

My dear @herr_gruen :folded_hands:t3:

Thank you so much, I’m glad to hear your words. And yes of course you’re right about the different needs and reactions of each plant type, I also got the right fertilizer on hand too late :face_with_peeking_eye:
Okay, so I’m still doing fine with the damaged leaves :ok_hand:t3:

Thanks for the feedback :oncoming_fist:t3:
