Yeah 2 out of 8 is NOT a good popping ratio! Bro I use a different technique than you’ve ever seen probably but My germination success rate is almost always at 100%. I bought a “seed germination kit” with Coco media and glass test tubes 150mm tall and 25mm diameter. I also do tissue culture cloning which is so much fun man but this is an advanced type of gardening so if you don’t have patients then this is not for you lol

Also, I think my seeds died because I didn’t have a heating mat. I have one now, but they were getting really cold, even in the warm room I had them in. I have two more trying to germinate right now. But I definitely want that kit!

For seeds you definitely going to want to keep your temperature between 80° and 85°. They do like warmth and high humidity between 70% and 80%.

Why can’t you live next to me. I need a growing friend haha. I try talking to my wife about all this and I’m all excited, but get met with bland responses because she doesn’t really care. She doesn’t use the stuff much, maybe once every couple months (probably because I made a very potent tincture and she got laid back). I just need an RL friend I can sit around, smoke and talk about this stuff with while watching the plants grow

Yeah man, I’m with you on that. All of my buddies are far away and only one person lives close by but he just got a new house that is doing almost a gut renovation in so him putting tents in his basement is like a year away but when he’s done I’ll have one person close to me. You are absolutely correct, it would definitely be nice to have someone as passionate as me to grow with, share progress and help each other and smoke together, etc…

It’s funny, I started smoking this again about 6 months ago. Then I got interested in tinctures. Then honey infusion. Now I have about 6 cups of very potent canna-sugar, I have a stockpile of hard candies, few 30ml bottles of tinctures… gotta figure out what to do with the 20 grams of kief I’ve stocked up xD

And right? My closest buddy is a state away in Colorado. Other than that I just kind of hermit myself.

That tissue culture cloning is so much fun man but it is a little advanced technique so if you’re not good with numbers then don’t do it lol.

I love it because when I prune my girls I usually throw away all those little branches and suckers, but now with tissue culture I take those little tiny branches and I put them in liquid medium and I let them beef up and start rooting and then put them in soil. There are two techniques, you can first put them in multiplication medium and let them beef up and get bigger but it prevents it from growing roots, then after 2-3 weeks you going to want to switch them to rooting medium and let them root. The second technique is putting them straight into rooting medium and that’s what Bill Graham prefers, he calls it a shortcut to rooting medium. If you do end up doing it then make sure you connect with Bill and use him for help because he is very helpful and extremely knowledgeable in this field. He’s a good dude, we actually became friends. I was just talking to him last night.

No, he has a website www.microclone.com you can send him an email or a text message to the phone number on his website and ask him for his own “Root gel” that he uses for his clones that’s not available on his website. He usually charges between $20 and $30 for an 8 oz bottle. It’s stronger than any other gel they have on the market so if you are going to get it from him then make sure you use very very little and it goes a long way. I made that mistake and was using a lot and wasted a lot of it. Or you can get those gel which is also very good

This cloning gel has IBA which stands for indole butyric acid which is a rooting hormone that I use in tissue culture cloning. It’s very effective and it’s one of the products he uses for his rooting gel.

Also check out starting your clones and rooting tubs which keeps the humidity at optimal level and just a perfect environment for your clones

You can do it even simpler, get root riot plugs from Amazon and don’t wet them because they come moist with special rooting hormones from the manufacturer. Take your clone and dip in rooting gel and stick it in your root riot plug and put two or three or maximum four of them in one deli container and cover it with the lid and cut a small hole on top of the lid and put a small piece of fabric tape so moisture and heat escapes from container. I grow hydroponically, would the tissue cloning still work? I don’t use or want dirt in my room! lol! Currently I am trying to get clones to take aeroponically. I am not having much success with this method for some reason. I maybe my environment it’s in.

Yes you can definitely do tissue culture for hydroponic purposes. As soon as the clone starts rooting, you’ll just transfer it into your DWC tub to continue growing.

Maybe you’re using wrong water, maybe your water is too hard. I recommend using reverse osmosis water and add calmeg or tap water but anything below 100 PPM would be considered safe to use with your plans.

Watch some of his YouTube videos and see how he does it, it’s fascinating. Just go to YouTube and search for “microclone” videos.
