Behold the absolutely outstanding levels of craftmanship here ![]()
Super easy it took seconds really. Just need to make sure the ends are bare, and I’ve also read you want to wrap it clockwise (from bottom to top), and to place it on the north side of your plant(s) if in the northern hemisphere (and vice versa if southern).
Starting a run in the next couple days to test this against one without.
Nice job! looks like a perfect Fibonacci spiral to me

I have no clue how to keep the coiling perfect/consistent… I guess I could use a ruler to measure the distance between each wrap as I go to keep it all consistent? but what should the distance between each coil be? Maybe it doesn’t matter? ![]()
I was thinking of making one but using a copper pipe as the staff, instead of wood? thoughts? maybe there is a reason for wood… wood is an insulator and non-conductive right?
Haha not too bad for a first effort… but I will not be giving up the day job just yet ![]()
I don’t think it matters, based on what I’ve seen so far… and have also seen other people using just a straight copper pipe (like as used for plumbing) shoved into the ground.
But apparently a copper wire wrapped around a wooden pole is the best. The taller the better. I think the original design was like 20ft or something, but apparently 6ft will suffice for up to 100sq ft so this should be more than enough for my purposes.
I have a 3 story house, I am considering building an antenna that starts on the roof and just keeps going down the back of the house and into the ground or figure out how to run it into my basement grow room… and tie it to the massive Copper pyramids that surround all the grow tents… LOL
It might be hard to explain during home appraisals though… hehehe. On my last appraisal, I just made a sign to put on the grow room door that said “Moms’ indoor garden” with pictures of a Tomato, Pea and Lettuce… and I also taped a picture of each vegetable on each tent… the appraiser said “Wow, quite the indoor garden set up, and is that what you are growing int there? (pointing at the pictures)” I said “Yup, I wouyld show you inside, but this is the wifes stuff and she said they are sleeping right now so don’t open the tents for some reason?” LOL
I plan on making a copper pyramid soon for charging the seed, and during the germination and seedling phase. I plan on just using copper pipe and soldering the joints together. I will post pictures once I get on it…
Pretty decent video on building a coper pyramid, but I think I will just solder everything together. Also, based on other instructions I’ve seen, the base square and the sides are not the exact same length as shown in the video.
PYRAMID OF CHEOPS:
The proportions of the pyramid of Cheops are known and well known, studied and re-studied, but all you need to know is that the ratio between the height of the pyramid and the side of the base is equivalent to the inverse of the golden section, φ (“Greek phi “) ie 0.618033. According to this ratio it is therefore necessary to multiply the base (quadrangular) by 0.952 to obtain the upright.
Example Cheops Pyramid = 4 pieces of 25 cm and 4 pieces of 23,8 cm for the classic pyramid
Example Nubian Pyramid = 4 pieces of 20 cm and 4 pieces of 32,26 cm
But here is the video…
You guys have me wanting to wrap copper wire between my tent poles for my next run now. I usually have something going around the outside anyway to keep cords and stuff out of the way so simply changing the material should be easy.
If anything, you raised the value of the tent ![]()
Damn, you are going to create a black hole or something with all that, your plants are going to be in a vortex of etheric energy, you will probably trigger some spontaneous evolutionary upgrades or something ![]()
And yeah, can relate to the appraisals thing. One time I was growing in a rented house in the UK (so an illegal grow) in the cupboard under the stairs. One day we get a knock on the door and it is an old guy with a clipboard. “Hi I am from XYZ Insurance, I am here to assess the property.”
Umm… OK… come in… lol. He comes in, starts looking around and soon finds the grow. Closes door, goes upstairs, we kinda just ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
A few mins later, he comes back down, goes back to the grow, and just stares at it for ages. Then, he gets down on his hands and knees and starts closely inspecting and smelling the buds etc. We were equal parts cringing and howling.
He then gets back up, closes the door, wished us well (saying nothing about the grow) and left.
To this day we have no idea what he thought about it. Never got busted though so he must have been cool haha.
@SJ1 how you today me and my partner had 2 young kids knock on our door one night asking if we sold cause they could smell it from the road funny as but no we don’t sell.
Haha yeah I guess it’s inevitable at some point. Is it legal to grow in Oz?
@Ateko - is that a crystal you used?
I love this! wrap the coper around a quartz crystal!! Briliant.
Nice! I didn’t notice the antenna for a few minutes… I was just drooling over your plants! Hands down my favorite controlled grow I’ve seen yet. Just beautifull.
Na man it’s pretty crap gotta grow under radar hear I can’t wait till it’s legal hear I see the set up on hear and want to do the same but if you get caught jail time.
ah that sucks. Friend of mine went down for 50 plants in the UK. Called it a 50k drug bust. Pricks. Stay safe over there mate.
@Rasta_Free-Man aww shucks, cheers mate much appreciated!
Cheers mate happy growing I’m doing a build now if you search Australian outdoor grow house upgrade you’ll see what I’m building to hide from prying eyes.
Oh man, that sucks! Please be careful mate and keep your plant count down. Remember you can fill a 4x4 with 1 Plant, don’t need 4-5 plants. A few years ago I had a plant that completely filled the 4x4.
